Coripe

Coripe is a small, elevated town situated in the extreme southeast of the Seville province, nestled within the foothills of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. Its identity is intrinsically linked to its position on the border of Seville and Cádiz, offering a peaceful, isolated existence surrounded by mountains and forests.

The town is particularly known for its location along the Vía Verde de la Sierra, an old railway line that has been converted into a non-motorized hiking and cycling trail. This route is a major draw, allowing visitors to travel through tunnels and over viaducts, providing access to the region's stunning, untouched landscape.

Coripe is also home to a unique and protected natural landmark: the El Chaparro de la Vega, a centuries-old, massive holm oak tree that has been declared a Natural Monument of Andalucía. This tree symbolizes the resilience and antiquity of the area's natural heritage.

The local architecture is simple and traditional, built to suit the hillside terrain. Life here follows the unhurried rhythm of the Sierra, focused on local agriculture and the seasonal tourism driven by the greenway and the surrounding nature reserve. It offers a genuine sense of remote, mountainous Andalucía life.

We make exploring, traveling, and celebrating in Coripe simple.
