Estremoz

Estremoz is an Alentejo town famed across Portugal for its white marble. The locale sits upon a slight hill, clearly marked by its medieval fortifications and the imposing Keep (Torres das Três Coroas). This community's history is visibly written in its structure: a lower main square (The Rossio) hosts a massive Saturday marked, while the upper area is dominated by the former royal residence, now a Pousada.
