Fuentes de Andalucía
Fuentes de Andalucía is a Spanish town on the fertile plains of the Campiña Sevillana. This location has a deep history, with archeological evidence of past inhabitants, including the nearby Tartessian site of Obucula. The town's main square, the Plaza de España, is an expansive open space dating from the 16th century, notable for its Roman circus-like shape. Architectural structures like the Church of Santa María de las Nieves and the Castillo de Monclova showcase its Baroque and Renaissance past. A recent, unique event saw the municipality temporarily rename itself "Ucrania" (Ukraine) in 2022 to express solidarity, a powerful expression of its communal focus.
