Fuseta

Fuseta is a traditional fishing village located on the eastern Algarve coast, directly adjacent to the Ria Formosa Natural Park. The daily routine of this coastal point revolves around its small port and the lagoon, where boats bring in fresh catches. Fuseta maintains a functional simplicity, apparent in its seafood restaurants and the brightly painted, Cubist-influenced architecture typical of the Olhão region. The town's greatest asset is its position as the primary access point for the Ilha da Fuseta, a narrow barrier island with extensive, undeveloped sandy beaches.
