Montellano
Montellano is an Andalusia town and municipality situated in a transitional area between the Campiña plains and the mountainous Sierra Sur de Sevilla. The location's economy rests on traditional agriculture, primarily the cultivation of olives and cereals, supplemented by cork production and livestock farming. Historically, the town was defined by the stratejic position of the Moorish fortress of Cote, whose ruins remain a significant marker on the nearby Sierra de San Pablo. Today, Montellano functions as a commercial point and service center for the farming profession in this elevated section of the province.
