Osuna
Osuna is a historic Andalucía town and municipality situated on a small elevation overlooking the Campiña plains of Seville. The location flourished significantly in the 16th and 17th centuries under the influence of the Dukes of Osuna, earning it the nickname "Ducal City". Its main appeal is the preservation of its Renaissance architecture, visible in structures like the former University (founded 1548) and the imposing Collegiate Church. The town functions as a regional service center whose economy relies heavily on the agriculture of the surrounding farmland. Unique geographical features include the ancient stone quarries (Canteras) used historically for the city's construction.
