Querença
Querença is a traditional Portuguese town situated inland within the Loulé municipality, in the Central Algarve's Barrocal region. The location occupies quiet section defined by rolling hills and a preserved rural landscape. Historically an agricultural center, the town's purpose remains closely related to the cultivation of the surrounding land. Querença is also renowned as the birthplace of the poet Cândido Guerreiro. Furthermore, the area is a key point of access to the Água de Benémola, a protected natural reserve featuring unique spring and river system that provide water resources for the wider region.
