San Juan de Aznalfarache is a Spanish town and municipality situated on the west bank of the Guadalquivir River, immediately adjacent to the large city of Seville. The location occupies a steep hill which historically gave it a strategic defensive position controlling the river crossing and offering broad views of the provincial capital. The town functions primarily as a densely populated residential and commercial section of the Seville metropolitan area.
