Viseu is a Portuguese city and district capital located on an elevated plateau in the Beiras region of Central Portugal. The location is strategically positioned, surrounded by the Serra da Estrela, Caramulo, and Montemuro mountain range. Viseu functions as the primary administrative, commercial, and educational center for the interior region, renowned for consistently achieving a high quality of life. Historically, the city is associated with the legendary Lusitanian warrior Viriathus.
